Our open top bags are the simplest grow bag to set up. Pre-filled substrate means no mixing, no filling, no mess.
Place the open-top bag in its final location — greenhouse bench, shelf, or growing floor. No tray needed.
Pour water slowly and evenly over the open top. Allow water to saturate fully through the substrate.
Full expansion takes a few minutes to up to 1 hour depending on bag size. Larger 27L bags need the most time.
Gently mix the surface substrate to ensure even texture and remove any compressed clumps in the top layer.
Create planting holes or remove plugs. Insert seedlings, cuttings, or transplants directly into the substrate.
Set up drip or flood irrigation as appropriate. Maintain optimal moisture — check drainage from base holes.
