What was measured
Reports a result from a defined sample using a stated method. It should identify the sample or batch and should not be assumed to represent unrelated material.
03 · CERTIFICATE / DECLARATION
What is being attested
May summarize compliance, origin or another attribute. Review the issuing party, scope, date, validity and exact product covered.

A number without a method is incomplete. Sample-to-water ratio, extraction procedure, water quality, temperature and instrument calibration can change the reported result.

No assumption should be made across products. Confirm the target, tolerance, analytical method and applicable batch result for the exact material quoted.
Does “lab-tested” mean every possible test was performed?
No. The phrase should be tied to identified tests, methods, samples and results. Ask which tests and documents apply to the quoted product and batch.
Can a pre-shipment sample guarantee the full commercial order?
A sample supports evaluation but does not replace a written specification, representative batch controls, acceptance criteria or production-scale trial.
What should be included in a quality-related enquiry?
