Wholesale Coco Coir for Kingston and Eastern Ontario Growers

A step-by-step ordering guide for commercial greenhouse, nursery, indoor-farm, and garden-centre buyers in the Kingston area — from buyer type through to a container-ready quote request.

Kingston sits on Highway 401 roughly midway between Toronto and Montreal, at the edge of Frontenac County and Lennox & Addington — an area that supports hydroponic greenhouse vegetable production, nursery and bedding-plant operations, and garden-centre retail. Avee Cocoseller manufactures coco coir products at its own facilities in Pollachi and Peravurani, Tamil Nadu, with a Canadian head office in St. Catharines, Ontario. This page is a working roadmap for a commercial buyer moving through an order decision: buyer type, specification, order sizing, and dispatch origin — not a general area directory.

1Find Your Path

What Kind of Operation Are You?

Commercial buyers here generally fall into one of four categories, each starting from a different product and order size.

Compressed 5kg coco peat block for a greenhouse bench trial

Greenhouse / Hydroponic

Vegetable growers typically start with 5 kg coco peat blocks for a bench trial before committing to a full crop-cycle volume.

Nursery & Propagation

Propagation operations generally pair peat-free coco propagation cubes for seedlings with coco husk chips for drainage in potting mixes.

Indoor Farm / CEA

Controlled-environment operations typically order pre-filled open-top grow bags sized to their rack or bench layout.

Garden Centre / Retail

Retail buyers generally stock shelf-stable compressed blocks and bagged husk chips for resale rather than bulk crop volumes.

2Before You Order

Specification Checkpoints

Confirm these before placing a trial or pallet order — they affect fit and downstream EC management:

  • EC tested below 0.5 mS/cm by a stated method (not an unconditional guarantee) — COA available on request.
  • pH range 5.5–6.5, with a calcium-buffered option for select formats.
  • 5 kg block, ±0.3 kg, compressed to roughly 30×30×12 cm, expanding to roughly 70–75 L hydrated.
  • Exact pallet configuration and unit count confirmed at quote stage.

Husk chips are a coarse drainage and porosity component, not a stand-alone medium. Propagation cubes are peat-free and coco-based. Grow bags use a working non-woven fabric spec of approximately 40 GSM, subject to final confirmation.

3Sizing Your Order

Trial, Pallet, or Container

Most commercial buyers move through this sequence rather than committing to a full-year volume up front:

1

Trial Quantity

A small order to confirm the material performs against your crop, irrigation system, and drainage target before scaling up.

2

Pallet Order

Sized to an established crop plan, drawn from Cambridge, Ontario stock when current inventory is confirmed available.

3

Full Container

Quoted directly from our Pollachi and Peravurani, Tamil Nadu facilities, following the production and freight schedule set out in your quotation.

4Dispatch Origin

Where Your Order Ships From

Select formats are held at our Cambridge, Ontario warehouse when inventory is confirmed — contact Avee to confirm current availability before specifying a delivery date. Availability is never guaranteed or year-round, and Cambridge pickup is by appointment or confirmation only. Custom volumes and full-container orders are produced and dispatched directly from our India facilities on the schedule in your quotation.

Cambridge to Kingston is approximately 344 km (roughly 3–3.5 hours by road), but actual transit time depends on the product, quantity, carrier, and season — it is not fixed. Provide your delivery postal code, product, and quantity for a current freight estimate.

5Documentation

Requesting Batch Documentation

Batch EC and pH test records are available on request, along with a Certificate of Analysis for the specific lot supplied. If your operation needs documentation for internal quality control, note this in your quote request so we can confirm what's available before dispatch.

Coverage Note

Kingston-Area Coverage

Avee serves commercial buyers across Frontenac County and Lennox & Addington, including toward Gananoque, Napanee, and Odessa. There is no local Kingston warehouse — deliveries are coordinated from confirmed Cambridge stock or from made-to-order production shipped from India, depending on the product and volume.

This applies equally to independent greenhouse operators, nurseries, indoor farms, and garden centres purchasing on their own account, including agricultural or research operations buying independently. Avee does not currently supply any named Kingston-area institution, and nothing here describes an existing relationship with one.

Commercial Order FAQ

Questions from Eastern Ontario Buyers

What's the difference between a trial order and a pallet order?

A trial order is a small quantity used to confirm material fit before committing to volume. A pallet order is sized to an ongoing crop plan and is generally the next step once a trial has confirmed fit.

Is Cambridge stock always available for Kingston delivery?

No. Cambridge inventory is confirmed order by order and is never guaranteed or held year-round. Contact Avee to confirm current availability before specifying a delivery date.

How long does freight take from Cambridge to Kingston?

The road distance is approximately 344 km, but transit time depends on product, quantity, carrier, and season. Provide your postal code, product, and quantity for a current estimate.

Can we order a full container directly from India?

Yes. Full-container orders can be quoted directly from our Pollachi and Peravurani, Tamil Nadu production facilities, with the production and freight schedule confirmed in your quotation.

Do you serve both large greenhouse operations and smaller garden centres?

Yes. Order tier and lead time change with volume, but eligibility does not — both buyer types use the same quote request process.
