Loosen the coir
Open the bag and fluff the coir before use. Pre-expanded pith can settle slightly during shipping — a quick stir restores the full texture.
Mix if needed
Use standalone or blend with amendments. 70% coir + 30% perlite works well for hydroponics; 60% coir + 20% compost + 20% perlite suits soil-based growing.
Fill & plant
Fill pots, grow bags, trays, or raised beds directly, then plant seeds, seedlings, or cuttings. No settling period is needed.
Water & monitor
