Cube to bag. No gap.

Propagation cubes — coco coir from clone to harvest.

Made from ultra-fine, triple-washed coir pith at our own Tamil Nadu facility. Because the cube and your grow bag are the same material, there's no interface gap and no pH mismatch — just one continuous root zone. Ships from our Cambridge, Ontario warehouse across Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

Why Growers Choose Avee Propagation Cubes

Engineered for cannabis cloning, seed germination & commercial propagation.

The cube is the same material as the bag it transplants into — that single fact removes the riskiest moment in propagation.

01
ZERO SHOCK

Zero transplant shock, guaranteed

The entire cohesive cube transplants directly into your final grow bag, slab, or hydroponic system. No root disturbance, no recovery period — plants keep growing from day one without interruption.

02
WHC

60–75% water holding capacity

Moisture retention is precisely calibrated to keep roots hydrated between watering cycles without waterlogging — critical for sensitive cannabis cuttings and freshly germinated seeds.

03
ULTRA-LOW EC

Safe for fresh cuttings

Unrooted cuttings and germinating seeds can't tolerate salt stress. Our propagation cubes are triple-washed to ultra-low EC — the cleanest possible starting point for any genetic.

04
WRAPPED OR NAKED

Naked or biodegradable wrapping

Available as compressed naked cubes, wrapped in biodegradable cellulose paper, or in compostable netting. The wrapping holds cube shape during transplant and biodegrades naturally over time.

05
SIZES

4 standard sizes, plus custom

5×5cm suits clones and cuttings; 8×8cm suits larger cuttings and seedlings; 10×10cm and 10×15cm are built for commercial nursery transplants. Custom dimensions and pre-drilled holes available on request.

How to Use

From cutting to transplant in 5 steps

Designed to minimise handling and maximise rooting speed — for cannabis cuttings, seeds, and commercial transplants alike.

1

Place in tray

Set cubes in a standard propagation tray or humidity dome, upright and level for even moisture distribution.

2

Hydrate

Pour pH-balanced water at 5.8–6.0, or a mild nutrient solution at EC 0.4–0.6, evenly over the cubes — allow 5–10 minutes for full absorption.

3

Plant

Insert seeds into the pre-drilled opening, or push fresh cuttings 2–3cm into the hydrated cube. Dip clones in rooting gel first.

4

Maintain

Keep under a humidity dome at 22–26°C. Check daily and top up as needed until roots appear — overwatering is hard to do with this medium.

5

Transplant

Once roots are visible on the outside of the cube, transplant the entire block directly into your grow bag, slab, or DWC system.

Who It's For

Who uses Avee coco coir propagation cubes

Cannabis

Cannabis licensed producers

5×5cm and 8×8cm cubes work well for clone propagation. Ultra-low EC protects genetics during the unrooted stage, and direct transplant to coco grow bags ensures zero root disturbance.

Tomato

Commercial tomato & cucumber

10×10cm cubes suit seedling production at scale. The cohesive cube structure allows mechanical transplanting on commercial lines, eliminating breakage even at high speed.

Nursery

Plant nurseries

Bulk wholesale supply for year-round nursery propagation, with custom hole placement and compostable wrapping options for organic-certified operations.

Greens

Leafy greens & herbs

5×5cm cubes suit lettuce, basil, kale, and herb propagation, with ideal moisture retention for fragile germinating seeds and compatibility with NFT and DWC systems.

Soft Fruit

Strawberry & berry

10×15cm large-format cubes are built for strawberry runner propagation. The wrapping maintains cube integrity during high-volume transplant operations.

Hydro

Hydroponics & vertical farms

Clean, inert, pathogen-free starters integrate directly with NFT, DWC, drip, and media-bed systems — a popular choice for vertical farm operators.

Frequently Asked Questions

Propagation cubes — questions answered

The most common questions from Canadian, US, and Mexican growers. Don't see yours? Ask us directly.

Are your propagation cubes better than Grodan rockwool for cannabis clones? +
The main advantage of coco cubes over rockwool for cannabis is direct integration. When you transplant a coco cube into a coco grow bag, the root zone is seamless — no interface gap, no pH mismatch. Rockwool requires a pre-soak to pH 5.5, adds waste disposal cost, and can't be composted. Coco cubes are 100% biodegradable and available OMRI-listed for organic certification.
Do I need to pH-adjust water before hydrating the cubes? +
We recommend pH-balanced water at 5.8–6.0 for best results. Unlike rockwool, our coco cubes don't require a specific pre-soak to correct pH — they arrive at 5.5–6.5 and are ready to use. For cannabis cuttings, a light nutrient solution at EC 0.4–0.6 is standard practice among Canadian licensed producers.
What size cube is best for cannabis cuttings? +
5×5cm is the standard for cannabis cuttings, providing enough medium to support rooting without excess moisture that causes stem rot. For larger or more vigorous cuts, the 8×8cm cube gives more root volume before transplant — preferable for photoperiod strains with longer propagation times.
Can I get cubes with pre-drilled holes? +
Yes. All cubes can be supplied with custom dibble holes, drainage holes, and irrigation holes — specify hole diameter, depth, and placement at order. Especially useful for commercial nursery operations using automated transplanting equipment.
What is the difference between naked cubes and wrapped cubes? +
Naked cubes are bare compressed coir — lighter to ship, lower cost, and ideal when cubes stay in trays throughout propagation. Wrapped cubes are covered in biodegradable cellulose paper or compostable netting, maintaining cube shape during transplant and giving roots an edge to grip as they penetrate through it.
Do you ship propagation cubes to the USA and Mexico? +
Yes to the USA — we ship from our Cambridge, Ontario warehouse to all 50 states, with parcel courier for smaller orders and cross-border LTL freight for pallet volumes. Mexico shipping lanes are expanding; contact us to confirm current availability and freight cost for your region.

Buy coco coir propagation cubes in Canada — factory-direct from Avee Cocoseller

Avee Cocoseller's coco coir propagation cubes are manufactured at our own Tamil Nadu facility from purified fine coir pith — triple-washed and compressed for efficient shipping. We stock year-round at our Cambridge, Ontario warehouse and ship within days to Canadian and US growers, nurseries, and commercial operations, with Mexico distribution expanding.

Why growers are switching from rockwool to coco cubes

Rockwool disposal is a growing concern for cannabis LPs — it can't be composted and is classified as inert construction waste. Coco propagation cubes, by contrast, transplant directly into coco grow bags with no interface gap, eliminating the most common transplant stress point in coco-based systems. The entire substrate chain — cube to bag to slab — is 100% coconut and consistent in EC and pH throughout. For background on propagation methods more broadly, see this overview of plant propagation from Gardeners' World.

Custom configurations for any greenhouse setup

We manufacture custom cube sizes, hole patterns, and wrapping options for any commercial greenhouse or nursery setup, with no minimum on custom configurations for pallet orders. Contact us to spec your order.
